Culture

High in the Bolivian Andes, the Aymara people have lived on the Lake Titicaca plateau as early as 500 BC, one of the earliest recorded tribes in South America! Known for their skilled adaptation to the high elevation, from agricultural techniques to their masterfully hand woven reed boats used to navigate and cultivate Lake Titicaca. Over thirty-six different ethnic groups are officially recognized in Bolivia, the two largest are the Aymara people and the Quechua people.

Adventure

Swim through the Amazon River and see what exotic new friends you can make as you wade through the refreshing streams. Wild pink river dolphins make the Amazon their home, and during a tour of the wetlands, guests may have an opportunity to take a dip in the rainforest waters. Brave divers who choose to take the plunge may get the once-in-a-lifetime experience of swimming with these friendly aquatic neighbors, and potentially even a few piranhas.

Nature

Luxuriate in the bliss of peaceful Bolivian backdrops, unusual landscapes, and a versatile array of wildlife to observe. One of the most beloved places amongst travelers is Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world. A vast sheet of white, glistening stretch across this altiplano, which is visible even from outer space! The surrounding landscape is just as notable, so travelers can enjoy the stunning scenery regardless over one or multiple days.

Gastronomy

As you move from one region to another, the cuisine transforms with the locale. If savory tamales are something you enjoy, be sure to try Humitas, a sweet version served for breakfast with sweetcorn, cinnamon, sugar, raisins, and even sweet cheese! Or, while you explore the city of La Paz, grab a Chola Sandwich which uses traditional pork with a crispy skin, chilis, onions, and tomatoes. The perfect bite to grab and go.

Wellness

If you’re in search of a less out-of-the-box wellness retreat, enjoy several days of meditation in Santa Cruz where the natural world will inspire inner peace and relaxation. With yoga in the Amazon, holistic medicinal products, and natural swimming pools are just a few of the luxurious, natural experiences to help any traveler seeking a rejuvenating vacation find physical and spiritual healing.

Striking white plains extend beyond the horizon, creating an ocean of blank space that, at times, feels eerily empty. A private tour will slowly reveal the life forms that make these flats their home! Rare species of hummingbirds flutter around the pink flamingos resting in the lagoons, surrounded by ancient cacti and unique rock formations which all make this diverse and obscure location a stunning site to explore!

Where To Eat

As one of South America’s best restaurants, their positive community efforts are the cherry on top of an excellent meal.

Where To Stay
