Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 29, 2022

Please review our Privacy Policy for information regarding the use of our website. We gather select information about our website users and our clients, in order to create the best possible personalized travel itineraries to South America.

Nomad Travel requires that each adult traveler over the age of 18 years old who will be participating in one of our customized journeys sign a Terms & Conditions document. Below is a summary of key parts of our Terms & Conditions (for the complete text, please contact us at reservas@nomadpatagoniachile.com ).

RESERVATIONS

Booking your trip

You can book a trip with Nomad by contacting us at +14375663620 or by email at reservas@nomadpatagoniachile.com . From the moment you contact us, we will take time to learn about your interests, destinations, budget, hotel and food preferences, etc. We will immediately start to work on designing an itinerary especially catered to your desires. We will happily refine and edit your itinerary until you are completely satisfied with it. Once we receive your approval of your itinerary, you will be asked to make a deposit for your trip.

Accepting an itinerary from us constitutes an agreement to our Terms and Conditions.

Trip Deposit

If your trip dates are more than 90 days away, we require an initial deposit of 30% of the total costs, or $500 per person, whichever is greater, within five days of your approval of our itinerary . This deposit is payable by personal check, bank or wire transfer to the account we specify, or credit card. Your travel arrangements will not be confirmed until we receive this initial deposit.

Paying Your Balance

The entire balance of your trip will be due 90 days before the trip is to begin. If you have booked fewer than 90 days before your travel date, full payment will be due within five days of your approval of your customized itinerary . The trip balance is payable by personal check, bank or wire transfer to the account we specify, or credit card.

Postponing Your Trip

We understand that certain circumstances may arise in which clients are not able to travel on their original planned dates. If we receive written notice of your desire to postpone your reservation up to 31 days before travel, we will transfer the paid balance of your trip, less a $200.00 administrative fee and any non-refundable expenses incurred, to a later date (this later date must be within one year, or 365 days, of the original departure date). Non-refundable expenses may include but are not limited to: domestic flights, train reservations, hotel accommodations, etc. (according to each provider’s individual policies).

If postponing a trip from one calendar year to the next, please be aware that certain prices may increase according to the different policies of our various providers. The Nomad Promise: We are committed to reducing any fees and penalties wherever possible, in order to help our clients successfully postpone their trip with Nomad.

Making Changes to Your Trip

Once your trip is confirmed, any changes to travel dates may be subject to additional fees or tariff changes as well as hotel availability. We cannot guarantee reservations in the same hotels if changes are made after confirmation.

Cancellation/Refunds

Nomad must receive written notice of your desire to cancel your trip at least 31 days before traveling, in order to proceed with cancellation. Trip refunds will be issued where applicable, less a cancellation fee, which is as follows:

  • $USD 100.00 per person base cancellation fee or $500.00, whichever is greater.
  • Non-refundable expenses already incurred by Nomad (expenses differ for each individual case and may include but are not limited to flights and trains already purchased by Nomad)

Trips canceled 30 days or fewer before travel (including no-shows) are not refundable. We will try our best to help you recover costs wherever possible, but we cannot guarantee the reimbursement of any funds for trips canceled 30 days or fewer before original travel date.

Once a trip has started, Nomad will not be able to offer refunds for any unused portion of the trip. This applies to any pre-trip or post-trip arrangements, including hotels and any no-shows due to delay or failure of transportation to arrive on time.

Rights to Images & Contents Generated During Your Trip

Nomad has the right to use and publish any photos, texts, quotes, or contents provided to Nomad including pre and post trip communications, through our photo contests, etc.

The Nomad Promise: We are committed to reducing cancellation fees and penalties wherever possible.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

It is your responsibility to obtain the appropriate documents, including passports, visas, tourist cards, and immunizations required for the country or countries you are visiting. Those traveling with minors need to contact their international carrier for necessary requirements. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent,
guardian, or relative with proper documentation.

Please note the following: We will use the passport information you provide for us in your booking form to reserve hotels, flights, and the Inca Trail (where applicable). Should you change or renew your passport, please be sure to carry both the old passport and the new one.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Nomad does not provide travel insurance, and approval of one of our trips in no way implies that you or your travel companions will be insured as travelers. We strongly recommend that you purchase a single-trip travel insurance policy within 15 days of payment of your deposit, and are happy to recommend trusted insurance providers. Trip cancellation insurance reimburses you for non- refundable air and land costs should you have to cancel your trip due to personal or family emergencies. Emergency medical evacuation insurance and emergency medical expense coverage are also strongly recommended. From our family of international travelers to yours, we can’t recommend insurance highly enough.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Nomad does not own, operate, control, supervise or manage any of the suppliers of transportation, land operators, accommodations, food and goods, and related travel services provided to the tour participant. As such, Nomad is not liable for any injury, damage, loss, inconvenience, irregularity, or delay resulting, directly or indirectly, from acts of God, detention, quarantines, civil disturbance, criminal activity, government regulations, etc. over which it has no control.
